Dr. Yasser Khan is fellowship trained in Ophthalmic Plastic, Reconstructive and Orbital Surgery (oculoplastics). He completed his medical school from McMaster University and went on to complete a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto. Dr. Khan then went on to complete an Oculoplastics Fellowship at the internationally renowned Ophthalmic Oncology and Oculoplastics Centre at the University of Cincinnati. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at McMaster University and is the Director of the McMaster University Undergraduate Ophthalmology Program. His research interests include novel techniques of evaluating and teaching Ophthalmology to medical students and residents and the effect of eyelid surgery on various ocular conditions. He is actively involved in the training of international Ophthalmologists in the field of oculoplastics and has traveled internationally to lecture. He is on active surgical staff and practices at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga and William Osler Health Center in Brampton, Ontario. His tertiary level oculoplastics practice includes a special interest in eyelid/orbital oncology, complex ocular and orbital trauma and aesthetic facial enhancement surgery. Dr. Khan is also Medical Director of the Carrot Eye Surgery Clinic in Mississauga, Ontario.
