

Dr. Vi Tu Banh graduated from McMaster University in 1992 with a BSc. He graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1996 with a Doctor of Optometry degree. He practices full scope family optometry with special interests in dry eye, neuro visual optometry and pediatric vision care. Since 2016, Dr. Banh has successfully treated hundreds of patients with concussion-like symptoms using his innovative and unique V2 method of concussion treatment. In early 1980, Dr. Banh and his family was rescued by the generous people of Uxbridge, Ontario after spending 9 months on the deserted island of Air Raya, in Indonesia, as Viet Namese Boat People. A year later, Dr. Banh and his family moved to Toronto, Ontario after his dad found a job there - this is all highlighted in his memoir, 12 Elephants and a Dragon. In 2001, Dr. Banh returned to Uxbridge to open an optometry practice to provide the best eye care possible for the people of Uxbridge, as a way of giving back and paying it forward.
