Spencer Barrett

Dr. Spencer C. Barrett is an ophthalmology resident in Miami, Florida, completing his training at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. He will be continuing for the internal-chief track at Bascom Palmer from 2026 through 2028 for retina surgery. He earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and previously completed undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University. During his medical training, Dr. Barrett was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honour society in 2021, recognizing academic excellence. His clinical and research interests include advanced imaging and retinal disease and he has co-authored peer-reviewed publications in ophthalmology journals. Dr. Barrett practices in Miami and participates in comprehensive eye care, combining clinical work with ongoing scholarly activity. His long-term plans are to return to Texas.
