Shalu Pal

OD, FAAO

Dr. Shalu Pal received her training at SCCO and NSUOCO and recently completed a Global Leadership Program at Harvard Medical School. She is a co-editor for the Mastering Myopia Newsletter, researcher of the Myopia in Practice study, past Chair of the AOA-CLCS, and co-founder of the Canadian Contact Lens Academy. She is a CE advisor for the OAO, AOE and Latin Americas, Global Ambassador for GLOW and BCLA, and co-founder of north-american contact lens workshops at each optometry school. She volunteers locally and internationally while running a group practice in Toronto that is home to 6 OD covering every subspecialty in Optometry. Dr. Pal was awarded the CLCS Achievement Award for providing education to the industry and the Legends Award by the AOA. Dr. Pal's work in the area of specialty lenses, myopia management, dry eyes treatments, communication and practice management continues to be published. She also lectures globally and consults with many industry partners for the betterment of the profession through education.
