Nyah Miranda

After earning her Bachelor's in Bio-Medical Sciences and excelling in varsity field hockey at the University of Guelph, Nyah Miranda embarked on her journey at the New England College of Optometry, where she is currently a third-year student. Nyah's commitment to leadership shines through her roles as the American Optometric Student Association Trustee and Co-President of the Canadian Association of Optometry Students. Passionate about fostering the growth of future optometry professionals, Nyah leverages her social media presence, @nys.eyes on Instagram and TikTok, to empower the next generation. Her dedication extends beyond academics; she's been a pivotal Student Ambassador for Transitions Lenses, attending Transitions Academy on multiple occasions. Nyah also wears the hat of Digital Communications Associate for Eye Care Business Canada's Next Gen OD, orchestrating the successful Next Gen Hybrid Meeting for two consecutive years, bridging Canadian optometry students studying in the US back to their roots. Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Nyah finds joy in staying active, exploring Boston's culinary scene, and playfully teasing her father, Dr. Miranda.
