Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Dr. Nohad Teliani attended the University of Alberta, going on to complete a Doctor of Optometry at the University of Waterloo in 2006. In the midst of her optometric training, she worked as an ophthalmic technician at Gimbel Eye Centre � Edmonton in the summer of 2004, continuing on to become their in-house Optometrist upon graduation in 2006, where she still works today under the newly branded Visionmax Eye Centre. Dr. Teliani also joined the Clarity Laser Vision Team in Calgary in November of 2016. Currently, she is responsible for the co-management in the pre and post-operative care of refractive and surgical patients, with an emphasis on dry eye assessments and treatments. Dr. Teliani also enjoys the variety in the work and constant influx of new technology to aid in treating the more complex ocular conditions. She enjoys lecturing on various topics ranging from Advancements in Dry Eye treatments to Comparisions of Refractive Surgical Procedures and is currently the President-Elect of the Alberta College of Optometrists regulatory body. A snowboard enthusiast, Dr. Teliani enjoys travelling, and has done a variety of volunteer trips to help provide eyecare for those in need.
