Dr. Lee obtained her Doctorate of Optometry degree at the University of California, Berkeley where she received several academic scholarships and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. She completed her residency in ocular disease and low vision at Jesse Brown VA and the Blind Rehabilitation Center at Hines VA. She joined the staff at Jesse Brown VA as a full-time optometry attending and also holds an adjunct faculty appointment at the Illinois College of Optometry. In addition to providing direct patient care, she consults with residents and students in a clinical setting, analyzes tele-eye imaging, and participates as a lecturer in the weekly didactic conference. Dr. Lee attained her Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) in 2018 and has been an active presenter at the annual Academy meeting. In 2019, she was elected as a Trustee of the Illinois Chapter of the AAO and also serves on the Professional Relations Committee for the National Association of Veterans Affairs Optometrists (NAVAO). Most recently, Dr. Lee was invited to be a case scenario author for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO).
