Dr. Mahnia Madan obtained her Doctor of Optometry Degree from Pacific University College of Optometry. She completed an Ocular Disease Residency at the Eye Center of Texas in Houston, Texas. She practiced in Minnesota for several years at a large Ophthalmology practice as a medical Optometrist. She served as Director of Optometric Services at the clinic being a liaison between Ophthalmologists and Optometrists in the community and had the opportunity to teach optometric interns. Dr. Madan is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and has lectured on the management of ocular diseases at various meetings throughout North America. She also serves as Vice President for the BC Doctors of Optometry. She has had the opportunity to travel to Haiti with Volunteer Optometric Services to provide eye care to those in need. She moved back to Canada in 2012 and practices with a focus on ocular disease treatment such as dry eyes, glaucoma and surgical co-management. Dr. Madan is passionate about providing cutting-edge eye care to her patients and she is a strong proponent of continuing to educate herself and her patients about vision and eye health.
