Jason Fan

MD, PhD

Dr. Jason Fan is Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Duke University School of Medicine. He completed his MD-PhD degree at Columbia University and his residency, chief residency and vitreoretinal surgical fellowship training at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami. He is a recipient of the Heed Award, the Michels Foundation Fellowship Award and is a fellow of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical society. He is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, Vit Buckle Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology and serves as editorial reviewer for many academic journals. His current research examining the role of resident macrophages in intraocular inflammation is supported by an NIH career development award.
