Dr. Jacqueline Theis completed her optometric and residency-training in neuro-optometry and binocular vision at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry (UCBSO). After residency she became an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCBSO and was the founder and chief of the UC Berkeley Sports Vision and Concussion Clinic, which provides research and clinical care in post-concussion vision problems and sports vision performance. Dr. Theis also worked at Kaiser Permanente in Northern California for five years, treating patients with double vision and vision problems from systemic and neurological disease including diabetes, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, stroke and traumatic brain injury. With a sense for adventure and love for the outdoors, Dr. Theis relocated to Richmond, Virginia in March 2020 to cold-start Virginia Neuro-Optometry, a tertiary care neuro-optometry private practice, which is located within the Concussion Care Centre of Virginia, a multidisciplinary brain injury practice.
