Dr. Eugenio Angueira earned his undergraduate degree from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma and his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico. His postgraduate training included an internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Florida and an endocrinology and metabolism fellowship at the University of Miami School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami. Board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology and based in Florida, Dr. Angueira is an Endocrinology Physician at Miami Endocrine Associates, which he founded in 2013. In addition, he is Program Director of Endocrinology at Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami, Clinical Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale and at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie. His professional affiliations include the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the American Diabetes Association, the Endocrine Society and the Inter-American Society of Diabetes. Dr. Angueira was recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology in May 2017. Extensively involved in clinical research during the course of his career, Dr. Angueira has played investigatory roles on clinical trials in a variety of therapeutic areas including endocrine disorders such as diabetes and lipids.
