Beata Lewandowska

Dr. Beata I. Lewandowska is a dedicated eye care professional with a passion for eye care and education. Currently, she holds the position of Associate Professor at the College of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University and leads the Dry Eye Care Center at the NSU Health Eye Care Institute. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at The Ohio State University and further specialized through a residency focused on co-management of ocular disease. Dr. Lewandowska is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry and an active member of the World Council of Optometry. Before entering academia, Dr. Lewandowska gained extensive experience providing ophthalmic care to the elderly population in southeast Florida. Now, she enthusiastically shares her knowledge with optometry, physician assistants, medical students and international scholars. Her teaching excellence has been acknowledged through multiple awards. Dr. Lewandowska is a published author and a sought-after lecturer, both nationally and internationally. Her multilingual fluency in Polish, English, Spanish and French is a valuable asset in her work. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Lewandowska enjoys music, cooking and exploring the world.
