Dr. Andrea Leung is a comprehensive Ophthalmolo- gist who focuses on paediatric eye diseases and strabismus. She cares for both adults and children with conditions such as strabismus, amblyopia, glaucoma, cataracts, nasolacrimal duct obstruction and retinopathy of prematurity. Dr. Leung received her medical degree from Queen's University, completed her Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Toronto and completed her fellowship training in Paediatric Ophthalmology and strabismus at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Leung is a Staff Ophthalmologist at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and at the Hospital for Sick Children where she is involved in training ophthalmology resident physicians. She is a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the Canadian Ophthalmological Society and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Besides her commitment to her patients, Dr. Leung is dedicated to providing eye care to adults and children in developing countries. She has already traveled to the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic and Swaziland, Africa to provide medical and surgical eye care, while learning about the challenges local eye care providers face.
