Pediatric Eye Care, Amblyopia, Strabismus and Vision Therapy

This course explores the distinction between visual acuity and functional vision. Participants will learn to identify and manage amblyopia, binocular vision disorders and strabismus using evidence-based assessment, prescribing and treatment strategies grounded incurrent clinical research. Through case-based examples spanning pediatrics to adults, including post-surgical and neuro-visual conditions, this course highlights practical decision-making across complex presentations. Emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary collaboration between optometry and ophthalmology to optimize visual outcomes and change patients’ developmental and functional trajectories.
