Cataracts and Premium IOLs

This lecture is designed to assist opticians on how to identify potential patients with cataracts. Case history and testing procedures will be discussed. Participants will learn techniques on how to establish dialog with patients that are nervous about the procedure and how to put them at ease about the process. The different types of cataracts and potential hazards associated with maturing cataracts will be reviewed as well as the process of cataract extraction and IOL placement. Different lens types currently available on the market will also be reviewed.
